Yaya is revolutionizing the way homeowners find, contact, and hire home service providers, using chat. Located nearby in the San Francisco Bay Area, Yaya contacted Fullstack Labs with a detailed project specification document, and we collaborated with their team to fine tune their concept, build a prototype, and develop an IOS and Android app with React Native.
Bunk1 makes it easy for parents to keep in touch with their kids while they're away at summer camp. Bunk1 approached FullStack to build an IOS app that replicated the existing functionality of their web app, and integrated with their legacy server side technology. Over the course of 7 months we worked closely with their team to design and develop a beautiful, easy to use app that went on to receive widespread user adoption and glowing app store reviews.
Every project starts with a design kickoff meeting, where we discuss the high-level design goals for the project and put together a high-level roadmap for the design phase. Next, we design three options for the primary page of the app, using different colors, font libraries, layouts, etc. We'll ask you to review the different design options and provide your feedback, which we'll incoporate into the design. Then we'll repeat the process for each page, until every page of the app has been designed. Finally, we'll import all of the designs into Invision and stich everything together, creating a fully clickable prototype that looks and feels like finished app. Explore all of our Android app prototypes.
Android app development is a complex process that requires a systematic process to produce superior code, in a timely, affordable manner. We couple agile development methodology, with Jira for story tracking, toggl for time tracking, Slack team communications, and GitHub for version control. Then we compile these solutions into Dash, FullStack custom project management system, and provide access to clients, giving them an unparalled level of visibility into their projects. Android apps require a certain level of maintenance to keep them up to date and running properly. Your app will always be a work in progress, and will never really be completely done. Fixing bugs, monitoring performance, managing dependancies, optimzing for performance, and adding features are just a few of the areas that will require ongoing development. We offer retainer maintenance agreements that guarantee 24/7 access to a FullStack developer and set number of development hours per month. Learn more about our Android app maintenance process.
We're dedicated to providing complete visibility to our clients, so that you're always up-to-date on the latest developments on your project...so we developed Dash, FullStack's custom client reporting dashboard. Dash answers questions like:
We were very happy with the way the whole process was facilitated. We started talking to Fullstack Labs three months before we signed any contract with them. We met with them in person several times. We wanted to find out what their philosophy is. Both Brian and David are fathers with young children, so they understand the importance of the work we are doing. That shows through in their work. It was obvious they cared deeply. David even put in $25 into our crowdfunding campaign. It's a business relationship, but he cares about our success, which is rare. It's not just about the product, but the bigger mission, too.
The experience I've had with other firms is in direct contrast to what FullStack did. I'm comparing them with two other firms I worked with in the past. They care a lot about what their clients are doing. They bring their ideas and concepts to the table. I felt like they were on my team. They added a lot of value in terms of ideas and continue to do so. No matter who's working on the project you feel like they care about the work that's being produced.
Fullstack Labs' managers have been engaged throughout. The whole project management staffing, matching team to task has been fantastic. All their staff is very committed. I'm very aware of how much bureaucracy there is in the tech world, and we've gotten nothing but solutions. I am totally happy with their approach to everything; their integrity, honesty, the whole thing. It's great.
